How to Register using Paper Form
1. Download flyer form this link, print, process, and mail to the address on the flyer.
2. For more efficient registration, please use online registration instructions below.

How to Register Online
1. If you have a my.BayAreaChess.com account, please proceed to step 3.

2. If you don't have a my.BayAreaChess.com account, please  please signup for a free account here and then go to step III.

3. If you forgot your password, click here to recover it an then click here to login and then click on he green "Register Now" link under US National Junior Congress on March 3-4 to register. 

4. Select the section you want to play (limits are based on age), commemorative T-shirt (optional), and side events (optional). Select any late registration or change fees as necessaray.

5. Click continue at the bottom of the page.

6. You will now see what you owe. Now you will click on "Go to google Check Out" & then click "Buy Now."

7. If you have a Google account you can just sign in--if not you will need to create one... It is much more secure than giving your credit card for individual transactions.

8. Complete your payment and show up 1/2 hour before the start of your first game!
I have registered, now what?
1. Relax and check your entries two days after registering at this link. If you find any errors, please contact us with your name, listed section, and correct information.
2. Arrive by 8:30am on the day of the tournament. Ages 6 & under play G/30 games on Saturday 9am-4:30pm. Ages 8 & play G/30 games on Sunday 9am-4:30pm. The rest play G/90 on Sat 9am-7pm and Sun 9am-3:45pm.
Getting There!
1. If there is a $ sign in your name, please bring cash to settle your payment before the first round starts. Settle your account to avoid a late penalty of $5 for every round after the first round and/or getting dropped from the tournament.
2. Please bring power strips because power outlets are in high demand.
3. Only USCF approved recording devices are allowed.
4. Please use hotel parking ($5/entry) or free parking nearby.
5. Commemorative shirts will be on sale for $15 prepaid, $20 onsite.
6. There is a coffee, food, and other items available. No outside food is allowed!

I am here, now what?
1. Recall your section. If you forgot, consult the alphabetical master list.
2. Consult the following chart for location of your section. Download orientation and map form here for more information.
Blitz: Tree Rooms
Bughouse: Tree Rooms
Age 6/8/10 & under in Tree rooms.
Ages 12/14/16/18 & under in Poolside Pavilion.

3. Consult the pairings chart outside the playing hall to find out color, opponent, and board number for your game. The pairing charts will look something like the one below. Go to your board number and wait to start when instructed.

4. Parents: Directors will ask all adults to leave the playing room in the kids section. Inform your child (player) where you will meet him/her after the game and leave.
5. Players: When you are done with your game: Report your result to the TD, reset the board, go to the Scorers’ table, and report your result there as well.
