These tournaments are composed of the three different events: Quads, Swiss, $uperSwiss
Quads: 4-6:30pm (must checkin by 4:15pm) - kids only (rated < 1400 = new, beginners, intermediate).
Swiss: 10am-2/4pm (arrive by 9:50am) - kids (rated < 1400 = new, beginners, intermediate) and beginner adults
$uper$wiss: 10am-7pm (arrive by 9:50am) - adults and advanced kids.

When you arrive: Find pairings for your section and note board number, opponent's name, and color in your section's pairings.
Before each round: Your pairings will be posted as described above.
Onsite Registration: 9:15-9:30am. Games start at 10am and round times will be accelerated. Please assemble for awards after the last round.
5 Premier/6 Booster: 5 games G/30 (30 mins each player). Expected to be done around 2pm. Lunch around noon.
3 Elite/4 Champ: 4 games G/45 (45 mins each player). Expected to be done arorund 4pm. Lunch around noon.

Before you come:
Please check that you are registered with correct information (final update on the day before the tournament).
Please use Northern building entrance for the Chess Center in San Jose. The games will be played in the tournament hall (Suite 160). Parents may wait in the lobby or the break room.

This "Act" is in honor of the wa my mother raised me.
We generally offer pizza and snacks for "whatever you want to pay." We collect 70-80% of our cost but plan to continue our tradition.
(Note: We can't do this for tourneys at a hotel due to contract obligations.)
