Private Group Coaching

afterschool afterschool Bay Area Chess has teamed up with great coaches like Ted Castro, JP Donovan, and Ricardo De Guzman to offer quality affordable special semi-private chess coaching in a group setting. During each session we have chess lessons, ice cream break, individualized coaching, and game analysis. We sometimes play rated chess games as well. You can see our coaching and tournament sites at this link or below.

You can join our existing session at one of the following locations:
Sun 4-6 PM: 196 Jackson St., San Jose, CA 95112 (Google, Yahoo!)
Sun 10:30am-12:30pm (or coming soon 1-3pm): Garvey Pl., San Jose, CA 95132 (Google, Yahoo!)
Sun 1-3pm: Chesapeake Ave., Foster City, CA (Google, Yahoo! )

At our homesite on Garvey Place in San Jose, there is a waiting area for parents and free wifi connection as well. We can set up a session in your area if you have at least 3 kids and are willing to host it.

Generally, the sessions are about $17-20/hour for 2 hour session and $20-23/hour for a one-hour session.
