Summer Camp Santa Clara: July 7 - August 1 (1-4 weeks options)

This summer camp is based on a "fun first" approach and offers an innovative combination of chess and academics by blends fascinating concepts from mathematics and language arts with chess in an entertaining environment. The program is designed to children’s mental acuity in a fun, supportive, and friendly setting. This program is designed with help of faculty members at Stanford and Berkeley (Wasim Azhar, Ph.D.), linguist s (Eric Schiller, Ph.D.), and Ms. Tessa Kwan (former Principal).
You can opt for either one, two, three or four weeks, with the option of half-days (mornings or afternoons) or full days as well as early drop off and late pickup convenience. This program is eligible for reimbursement through most Childcare Flexible Spending Accounts (please reconfirm with your plan administrator.

Levels King Beginners: This group does not require children to have any prior knowledge of the game. Children will learn how to move the pieces and develop basic tactical and strategic principles.
Intermediate Players: This group will consist of children who have some knowledge of chess. They will learn and practice basic tactics and strategy.
Advanced Players: This group will consist of children who have been playing for a few years. The focus will be on their learning how to analyze and improve their game.
Schedule
Our summer camp will run for four weeks from July 7 to August 1 at Granada School in Santa Clara. Students may enroll for either one, two, three, or four weeks.
